How the Outdoors Makes Me A Better Tarot Reader & Person

Updated: May 7, 2020

Hey there, Anna here!

Over the weekend I spent a lot of time in the woods and I feel rejuvenated! It’s no secret spending time outdoors is great for you (plenty of studies have shown it can reduce stress, anxiety, and has other tremendous health benefits), but I’m here to briefly talk about how the outdoors makes me a better tarot reader & person!

First off, my mind was able to slow down. I was taking in the moment- the insects crawling about, the sounds of the birds, the smell of the woods. I was too busy watching my footing and taking it all in to worry about any of my daily stressors. When I am able to clear my mind, my ideas and thoughts come through so much clearer.

I am able to listen and learn from myself. There was one moment I had to jump to the other side of the creek. I was hesitant and unsure of my footing, as a result the jump was incredibly ungraceful. I made it, but if I were more sure of myself, it could have been far easier. It got me thinking- What other aspects of my life am I hesitating in? How does this hesitation hinder me? What can I do to be more confident? These questions can easily be turned into a tarot reading/spread (and they were- see the spread below!).

There's just something so magical that happens when you go into the woods and release everything else. It prompts you to slow down, embrace the moment, and think in new ways.

Thanks for reading!
