I spent a good chunk of my evening prepping these bags for an upcoming pop up. They’re not perfect, but I made the stamp and branded the bags myself!

I’m not going to lie, I was pretty upset.

Sometimes no matter what you do, things are still out of your control. I had this piece fully finished and it must have tapped up against something in transport- the yellow slip application may have been too thick causing it to chip off (my best guess).

I haven’t had the best luck with my suns using yellow underglaze in the past- I would get a lot of pinholes. I’ve had success with the slip before and thought I was in the clear!

All this to say, sometimes shitty things happen when you’re dealing with ceramics, but we just need to keep creating & learning!

I’ve recently played with coin slots piercings (LOVED IT) and I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me this long to do a nose chain! I’ve been dreaming up some lip piercings with either wire or stones- now to make more pieces and play!
